This young, growing family in Burien was feeling the squeeze. Their kitchen was closed off from the living space, making it hard to entertain or keep an eye on the kids. They also only had one bathroom on the main floor—and with little ones in the mix, that just wasn’t cutting it.

Solution

We reimagined their home’s footprint to better support their lifestyle. By removing a wall, we opened the kitchen to the living room and installed a bright, modern kitchen with a spacious island, a corner banquette for family meals, and ample storage throughout.

Their oversized laundry room was underutilized, so we transformed it into a dual-purpose space. We added a ¾ bathroom featuring a no-barrier shower stall and a custom floating vanity, then reconfigured the laundry layout to fit beautifully alongside it.
