Timeline: One year

Budget: $____

Design Team: Architect Clint Miller, Designer Lori Taylor

Challenge

The Munsons had a beautiful turn-of-the-century home—but in the 1960s, an addition was tacked on that clashed with the original architecture. They wanted their home to feel unified and timeless, not disjointed and outdated. The master suite, stairwell, and entertainment spaces all felt closed off, disconnected, and out of sync with the rest of the house.

Solution

Working from plans by architect Clint Miller and interior designer Lori Taylor, Sejant Northwest reimagined the space. We opened up the stairwell for natural light and flow, remodeled the kitchen with an AGA stove as a showpiece, updated the master suite, and added functional yet beautiful finishes throughout—including custom cabinetry and a sound-absorbing “cloud” ceiling in the entertainment area.

The Results

The home now feels like it was always meant to be this way—seamlessly blending historic charm with modern comfort. One guest even told the homeowner, “This looks like a Medina remodel.” Twenty years later, the craftsmanship still holds up—and that’s exactly how we like it.
